Observation 5

Why do we like motivation so much? Inspiring quotes, people, and videos seem to increase our endorphins and give us a 10 second hype which makes us believe we will take over the world. Motivation as I often say is bullshit. Motivation is nothing without action. Consistency and execution is what works. Watching hours of videos with a nice soundtrack and Morgan Freemans voice isn’t going to take you anywhere in life.

My morning routine is usually the only time I give myself motivation. As I brush my teeth, wash my face, and shave, I usually have a podcast playing in the background or one of those 5 minute “motivational clips”. After my morning, there is no external motivating factor that helps me through the day, its all willpower and discipline. Do I fuck up? All the time, but dwelling over messing up leads to more screw-ups. I love writing my shortcomings down, I acknowledge them and I simply move on.

I read a stupid article on the Huffington post called “To anyone who thinks there falling behind” and the article is absurd. It talks about how you should just chill out and whatever you want, your making yourself miserable over achieving it. This is ridiculous because you should never complain about the process of getting what you want.

If you don’t love the process, if you don’t love the grind, if you don’t love the hustle then you’re really working for the wrong thing. There are no taking steps back. Stop fucking complaining and start taking action. If you complain during the process then you need to sit down and re evaluate your goals and aspirations. No one cares about your complaints so do something about it…HUSTLE.
